Recruitment Resourcer – Construction Trades & Labour Hire
MelRec Trades & Labour Hire are looking for an energetic and organised Resourcer to join our growing Trades & Labour Hire recruitment team.
Reporting directly into the Operations Director, this role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced and high energy recruitment environment, supporting the delivery of skilled trades and labour personnel across the construction industry.
This position plays a pivotal role in contributing to the growth of our Labour Hire business, supporting the trades and labour team in building and maintaining candidate pools, ensuring our clients have access to reliable, job-ready construction site personnel.
The Role
As a Recruitment Resourcer, your primary focus will be working closely with the recruitment team in finding, engaging and managing candidates across a variety of construction and labour hire positions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively sourcing candidates through job boards, databases, referrals and other recruitment channels
- Screening/Interviewing candidates for current and upcoming vacancies
- Writing and posting job advertisements across relevant platforms
- Building and a strong pipeline of skilled trades and labour candidates
- Conducting reference checks
- Managing candidate compliance and onboarding
- Matching candidates to roles based on skills, experience and location
- Assisting Consultants with filling urgent and high-volume vacancies
- Developing strong relationships with candidates to encourage retention and repeat placements
- Supporting general recruitment and branch administration as required
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident, proactive and comfortable spending a significant part of their day sourcing candidates.
Previous construction recruitment or high volume resourcing in a blue collar/labour hire environment would be highly regarded; however, we are also interested in people from customer service, sales, administration, construction or other fast-paced environments who have the right attitude and communication skills.
You will ideally bring:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities at once
- Strong attention to detail
- Good computer and administration skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team
- An understanding of construction, trades or labour hire would be highly desrirable
